Spring is in the air and a new season is upon us! Anyone feel like LEGO robot games?
FIRST has officially opened the registration for the upcoming Body Forward Season, click here to register.
BC regional registration will be opening soon too on our website www.bcit.ca/fll.
We have also set some dates. The mainland BC qualifier will be on Saturday November 27th, 2010 and the BC regional championship will be on Saturday January 15th, 2011.

Important forms for teams
OK, some housekeeping... important forms for you teams to fill out.
- Completing a team info doc to help officials remember your team
- Consent forms
Forms can be downloaded from FIRST's website at:

Team Info Sheets:
This electronic PDF form is used to capture team profile information; it requires Adobe Acrobat Reader (available for free at www.adobe.com). Please make your best effort to send this back to me before the tournament. I'm hoping to be able to provide each team’s completed version to all judges and the MC, so they can have some background info on each team!
Consent forms:
Consent forms must be completed by all those involved with teams not just the students. So mentors, coaches volunteers must compete a form and turn it in at the November Tournament.
I cannot guarantee that we will have enough printed copies on hand for those who have forgotten to print and bring theirs so please do you best to complete the forms in advance and bring them to the November 28th, 2009 tournament for collection.

Get your team t-shirts!!!
Team t-shirts are available again this year, for the low cost of $20 a shirt!
Shirts are available in:
- orange
- white
- black
- irish green
- light blue
- sport gray
- navy
- sapphire
- royal blue
- violet
Shirts will have the Smart Move logo in full colour on the front and can have your team name printed on the back.

Out of town!
I will be away from the office until October 4th.
Event registration and payment will still proceed, with the help of my colleagues. I will also be checking email and the blog a few times in case someone is in dire distress.
